MAJOR GENERAL GEORGE A. BUSKIRK AWARD CRITERIA
1. The award is named after a prominent attorney, banker, and retired Major General in the United States Army, George A. Buskirk, Jr., who served in various military capacities including Adjutant General for the State of Indiana.
2. A candidate must be a recognized and valued member of the Indiana Democratic Party known for providing time, treasure, and talent in efforts to elect Hoosier Democrats.
3. A candidate must be a leader, always loyal and decisive, and must have served in some governmental capacity, in addition to serving the Indiana Democratic Party on a consistent basis for at least twenty years.
4. Consideration should be given to those with a legal, finance, or military background and to those whom work diligently to improve communications and messaging for the Democratic Party.
